The next generation of wearables or ‘mobile clothing’ will have to address the new concepts and messages of our changing society, and adapt to the needs and expectations of the user and to the new digital reality.

Soft wearables represent a huge opportunity for the apparel industry, and printed electronics technologies and the world of Smart Fabrics will partly account for these disruptive wearable solutions.

Cetammsa will review in this webinar an overview of the upcoming “wearable technology trendguide,” which, split into five trend scenarios, assesses the sociocultural and design insights influencing the future of wearables, and presents current wearable concepts and suggested opportunities for growth.

This webinar is relevant to innovation managers, technology developers, fashion designers, textile manufacturers, designers and garment suppliers.

Laura Clèries, a textile designer and materials scientist, will lead the webinar. From doctorate researcher to senior textile designer positions, her work lies between scientific analysis and creative intuition. She has worked as consultant or employee in both small and large international work spheres, such as materials companies and libraries, design studios or international forecasting publications and international fashion design companies.

Nuria Grau, textile R+D designer at Cetemmsa, will introduce the webinar. She holds a degree in fashion design (ESDI, Universitat Ramón LLull). She has more than 12 years experience as textile and fashion designer.
