The latest verification solutions, systems for modern border controls and innovative trust center services – Germany’s Bundesdruckerei GmbH is to present its comprehensive product portfolio at Gitex.

As a leading supplier of systems for secure ID, Bundesdruckerei has already generated a lot of experience in the global system business and will use the trade show in Dubai to present new products and expand its international network.

The company will focus particularly on government and business representatives, as well as on providers of SMB (small & medium business) solutions; Bundesdruckerei’s booth will be geared towards the interests of these groups.

The exhibits will, for example, include the latest Visotec Expert 300 reader device with the Visocore Inspect software for reliable document verification during border controls. In the space of a few seconds, this solution can check the optical and electronic features of international passports and, when necessary, also display reference images of all documents. Visocore Inspect also checks whether the electronic component of the passport is genuine. In addition to the stationary device, the mobile version Visotec Mobile 100 will also be on display at Bundesdruckerei’s booth.

The company will also be presenting its Border Control Platform. This solution incorporates semi-automated processes for which Bundesdruckerei supplies hardware and software components.

“Computer-based border control has been made possible by technological progress. In the past the expert eye of the border control officers was needed to decide whether a traveller’s identity matched that of the document presented; in future innovative technologies will be available to support them in this job,” says Thomas Löer, senior vice president marketing and support at Bundesdruckerei. “A combination of our solutions and the eDocuments with an integrated chip improves workflows and security at central border control points. This supports border control officers in their work and saves travellers’ time.”
