New customer-focused inks and coatings give printers versatility to handle an extensive range of wide format printing applications

Bordeaux Digital Printink, a leading manufacturer of inks and coatings for almost every inkjet technology and application, showcased its recently expanded range of water-based dye sublimation inks to the U.S. market at this year’s ISA in Las Vegas, which was held April 4-6. Also in the spotlight was Bordeaux’s water-based Latex ink, among Bordeaux’s primary R&D achievements, highlighting the company’s commitment to researching, developing and bringing to market sustainable solutions and innovations for wide format, textile and packaging. Bordeaux introduced its direct-to-textile dye sublimation ink at ISA, a specially-formulated hybrid ink, producing outstanding images with bright and vibrant colors for both transfer and direct-to-fabric printing on polyester fabrics or mixed synthetic fabrics. This environmentally friendly ink exhibits excellent image definition, superb light fastness properties for high quality printing as well as long shelf resistance. Bordeaux’s textile ink series also includes transfer dye sublimation ink, featuring an extreme black and an outstanding color gamut. Bordeaux also showed live print demos of its water-based Latex ink, designed specifically with the environment in mind. Key features include high quality performance and long-lasting image quality comparable to solvent inks, across a wide range of media. Bordeaux, a pioneer of Latex ink, facilitates simple conversion of solvent printers to Latex ink for a variety of inkjet applications and printheads. “Once again, Bordeaux will have many new inks, coatings and printing solutions for visitors to explore and experience at ISA,” comments Erez Shoshani, general manager Bordeaux Digital Inc., a subsidiary of Bordeaux Digital Printink. ”Bordeaux offers the most valuable advancements to support an extensive range of indoor and outdoor flexible applications on a wider range of substrates, while delivering exceptional color and performance. Furthermore, our solutions contain no VOCs and can lower operational costs by reducing energy consumption, ink usage and waste.” Other new introductions include Bordeaux’s recently expanded lines of coatings for all purpose graphic applications. Bordeaux now offers a wide range of water-based liquid laminates and UV coatings for wide-format graphics and an extensive variety of UV liquid coatings for digital press and document finishing. The Coating series is environmentally safe with reduced odor and is optimized for a broad range of display and specialty applications requiring high protection and image enhancement. Also at the booth was Bordeaux’s extensive range of environmentally friendly solvent inks with reduced odor and also the Mix & Match product line, such as Bordeaux’s Eco Solvent PENR ink printing on the Mutoh ValueJet printer. Bordeaux’s Mix & Match product line is 100% OEM compatible. The inks are ideal for printers looking for efficient and easy switchover from the original ink without flushing or spending costly time creating new color profiles. Bordeaux also offers rigid, flexible and super-flexible UV and UV LED inks for all types of applications, offering high quality color and performance as well as long-term outdoor durability.
