Blue Label Digital Printing of Lancaster, Ohio – an all-digital label converter – purchased an HP Indigo 8000 digital press at Labelexpo Europe 2017 in Brussels.

The HP Indigo 8000 Digital Press, offering 262 linear feet (80 meters) per minute, will double production capacity for Blue Label, serving more than 600 craft breweries worldwide with high-quality, digital labeling services.

“As the breweries grow, our business continues to expand to fulfil the capacity they require, with runs increasing from some 4,000 to as high as 50,000,” said Andrew Boyd, president of the company of fourth-generation printers. “The HP Indigo 8000 will enable us to expand while providing continuity in color and quality.”

First investing in HP Indigo in 2003, Blue Label’s digital house also includes an HP Indigo 5600 Digital Press, HP Indigo WS6600, and an HP Indigo WS6800.

“The Indigo digital presses deliver results that other machines simply cannot match including reaching 97 percent of all Pantone colors,” Boyd added.

Blue Label offers a range of label and packaging solutions and finishing including pressure-sensitive labels, UV coating, hot foil stamping, embossed labels, two-sided label printing, bottle-label printing, hang tags and more.
