Bixolon subsidiary Bixolon Europe, advanced receipt, label, and mobile printers’ manufacturer, has launched its SRP-350V and SRP-350plusV 3-inch Direct Thermal POS printers to the European market. These POS printers have been engineered, designed, and updated towards sustainability allowing the use of print seeds and printing blue receipts. Both printers have been manufactured for printing compatibility with Koehler’s Blue4estâ thermal paper with enhanced near end and mechanical sensors. A Visibility Intelligenceä sensor enables the printer to automatically detect the use of white or blue receipt media to optimize the print quality accordingly. The SRP-350V and SRP-350plusV are compact at the point of sale so that they don’t take up a lot of space and support stand-alone or vertical printing options. These printers have been designed with a drop-in paper loading function to easily load and remove paper if or when a jam occurs. The printers also have an LED display and support a paper-saving feature that enables organizations to save up to 25% of paper per roll. Both printers have a variety of accessory options including a wall mount, a vertical stand, a splashproof cover, a SMP (build-in special printer base) to integrate a power supply unit, and an optional order notification function through an external buzzer r B-Melodist (an Audio and Visual indicator for BIXOLON’s desktop printers). With the use of the latest connectivity technologies and increased speeds, Bixolon states the printers’ ideal usage within retail, grocery, and hypermarkets POS printing, such as restaurant, bar and take away food and beverage (quick service restaurants or coffeeshops) and with the sale of lottery tickets. The SRP-350plusV effectively prints barcodes, text, and images up to 400 mm/sec at a 180-dpi print resolution. This comes with greater control of graphic quality through grayscale and dithering. The All-In-One-Plus Interface for Bixolon includes USB V2-0 and Ethernet standard, plus optional serial, parallel, powered USB, Bluetooth, or WLAN connectivity. The SPR-350plusV is also compatible with Bixolon’s XPM printer management tool, providing easy administration, integration, and management tools to install and manage these printers across a whole IT and printing estate. The SPR-350V has printing speeds of 300 mm/sec at 180 dpi. Printer connectivity options include USB V2.0 as standard, with optional Serial, Parallel or Ethernet. Managing director at Bixolon Europe Jay Kim said: “In today’s competitive POS environment, reliable and cost-effective receipt, label, and ticket printing is required. The launch of these new printers builds upon the success of our previous models and offers our customers options to meet the challenging demands of the POS market. Bixolon’s new POS printers demonstrate how practical functionality, great design and comparative price points come together to enable cost effective, reliable printing and we are pleased to be providing these solutions for those across the retail, hospitality, and ticketing sectors.”
