Avient Publishes 2024 Sustainability Report

Avient Corporation announces the release of its 2024 Sustainability Report. The annual report highlights the company’s continued dedication to environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and governance excellence.

It builds on the significant progress made in the past year to advance the company’s purpose of innovating materials solutions to help customers succeed while enabling a sustainable world.

This year’s report highlights the company’s key sustainability achievements, including:

• Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction: Avient achieved a 52% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions in 2024 compared to 2019, making significant progress toward its 2030 goal of 55%

• Renewable Energy: The company met its 2030 goal of sourcing 60% of its electricity from renewable sources, achieving 61% in 2024

• Waste Reduction: Avient reduced waste-to-landfill intensity by 5% in 2024, exceeding its goal of a 3% annual reduction

• Sustainable Sourcing:  The company assessed suppliers representing 75% of its total spend for sustainability alignment in 2024, moving closer to its 2030 goal of 90%

• Safety Performance: Avient achieved its best safety performance to date in 2024, with a Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) of 0.40 per 100 employees

The report also outlines the following three new sustainability goals established in 2025 to achieve by 2030:

• Implement water stewardship plans for all facilities in extremely high-risk water locations

• Achieve 75% ACC RC14001 certification of manufacturing sites

• Engage 100% of manufacturing sites with their local communities
