Will launch new labeling solutions advancing recycling, connectivity and safety at Labelexpo Europe 2025.
Avery Dennison Corporation announces product innovations that will launch at Labelexpo 2025, beginning Sept. 16 in Barcelona.
With labels and packaging at the forefront of enabling circularity and connectivity, Avery Dennison has pioneered innovations that enable organizations to boost packaging recycling and reuse, enhance packaging shelf appeal and improve functionality, performance and supply chain transparency.
At the show, Avery Dennison will spotlight its expanded AD CleanGlass wash-off portfolio with its recently launched white film option.
Developed in response to growing demand for reusable glass packaging and meeting brand sustainability targets, the white film joins the well-established clear version. Both solutions allow easy and clean label removal from glass bottles in a conventional bottle washer at 80°C, optimizing the environmental benefits of reusable glass.
Avery Dennison will also showcase AD CleanFiber, the first range of INGEDE12-certified paper label solutions with newly developed adhesive technology that cleanly screens out from pulp during the recycling screening process, resulting in higher quality output for new cardboard and paper production.
Labelexpo will mark the launch of the Infinity Collection, Avery Dennison’s new premium label portfolio that offers converters and designers greater creative freedom — enabling complex die-cutting, elaborate finishings and a high-end look and feel, while ensuring reliable performance in application and use.
The company will also present new premium materials in the Sensorial Collection — such as Leatherlike Black, Limestone and Wood Skin — and an expanded Sustainable Collection, with an additional focus on alternative fibers to paper pulp. This includes the newly introduced Lin Fiber, joining existing options such as Hemp Fiber and Cane Fiber.
Avery Dennison will introduce the first PET labels to feature chemically recycled content, especially developed for the durable goods market. These solutions meet the highest standards demanded by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) while supporting sustainability goals. Functional features such as flame retardancy can be added on demand to meet compliance needs such as for electric vehicle (EV) batteries.
In addition, the labels will be shown in combination with radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology to demonstrate how traceability and connectivity can be enabled across automotive and EV battery applications.
Avery Dennison will also launch new UV Barrier solutions — a range of clear film pharmaceutical labels that provide a functional barrier while protecting potentially life-saving medicines from degradation caused by UV light.
Traditionally, labels and packaging have been more opaque, obscuring the view of a healthcare professional conducting visual checks. This new range combines clarity and protection, without compromising performance.
“Avery Dennison has been pioneering the labeling and packaging sector for 90 years, and in Barcelona we will demonstrate how we are helping to address key challenges across industries including consumer packaged goods, retail, automotive and pharmaceuticals,” says Mariana Rodriguez, Avery Dennison VP and GM, Materials Group EMENA. “This milestone reflects our vision of Making Possible, and we look forward to welcoming visitors to our booth.”
