AVANCIS, Donauer Solar Systems Reach Agreement for Distributing Solar Modules

AVANCIS, the solar module manufacturer, and Donauer Solartechnik Vertriebs GmbH have agreed to cooperate very closely in the future. Donauer Solar Systems, a solar technology wholesaler based in the German municipality of Gilching, is set to integrate the PowerMax CIS thin-film solar modules into its portfolio right away.

This step marks the expansion of the exclusive AVANCIS distribution network through the addition of another distributor with a successful international track record. Donauer Solar Systems, which is based in Gilching near Munich, is a specialist wholesaler of photovoltaic systems and solar heat technology with a pan-European presence. As such, it will in future be responsible for distributing the powerful CIS modules from AVANCIS primarily within southern Germany and nearby European countries.

AVANCIS is the first-ever manufacturer of CIS thin-film modules to make it into Donauer Solartechnik Vertriebs GmbH’s portfolio. “The market is becoming increasingly aware of the opportunities and application areas associated with thin-film products and so demand for them is growing constantly. By opting for AVANCIS, we are inviting the company on board that we consider to be the leading German manufacturer with the best CIS product”, explains Carl Freudhöfer, head of purchasing at Donauer Solar Systems.

The PowerMax modules from AVANCIS have an output of 100-120 Wp and are capable of efficiency rates of up to 12%. As such, they are among the most powerful products within their segment.
