artience Co., Ltd. has established a joint venture with Shenzhen Yongda Photosensitive Technology Co., Ltd. to strengthen the business development of color filter materials for liquid crystal displays in China.

Used in flat-screen TVs, PCs, and smartphones, color filters are a key component of color reproduction in flat panel displays (FPDs) and is used in a variety of panel applications, including liquid crystal displays (LCDs) and organic light-emitting diode displays (OLEDs).

artience Groove provides color filter materials for a variety of applications by leveraging the nano-level dispersion and colorant design technologies developed in the development of printing inks and coatings. Color resist, which reproduces a clearer, brighter, and more authentic natural beauty on displays, has one of the world’s top market shares.

Since its establishment in 1996, Yodai Photosensitive has been a leading high-tech company in the manufacture of high-end photoresists, and has expanded its business to a wide range of display and semiconductor-related applications.

As demand continues to grow in the Chinese market, especially for large-size TVs, and further growth in the LCD panel market is expected, the establishment of this joint venture will further expand the Group’s business by strengthening the sales network of the group’s color filter materials business in the Chinese market.
