ÅR Packaging Group AB announced the closing of the previously announced acquisition of a significant majority stake in PT Maju Jaya Sarana Grafika, a leading Indonesian packaging company with a majority of its customer base in the tobacco and food segments. Maju Jaya is a paper packaging company offering a one-stop service from design, prepress and production to finishing and delivery. It was founded in 1974 and operates two sites in Indonesia in Bekasi (close to Jakarta, Java) and Semarang (central Java). Maju Jaya is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. The acquisition of Maju Jaya is a step to implement the AR Packaging expansion strategy outside of Europe in selected segments.
