Applied Materials Recognizes Top Suppliers at Executive Supplier Forum

Applied Materials, Inc. presented seven companies with awards at its annual Executive Supplier Forum for helping meet the company’s strategic business goals in 2013. Awards were given to suppliers for outstanding achievement in the areas of operational performance in quality, cost, delivery and technology; demonstrated commitment to collaboration; and sustainable business practices.

“These high-caliber suppliers enable Applied Materials to quickly address dynamic market forces and increasing customer demands,” said Marc Haugen, group vice president, worldwide operations and supply chain, Applied Materials. “It is critically important that we continue to partner together on our roadmaps in order to be successful and to drive innovation and operational excellence in all that we do.”

The Applied Materials Supplier Awards were given to the following companies for consistently meeting or exceeding Applied’s performance expectations in 2013:
• Sustainability Award: XP Power Limited, for overall corporate commitment to all sustainability elements and demonstrated best practices in green product design.
• Collaboration Award: Ichor Systems, Inc., for collaboration on commodity strategies and design for cost reduction.
• Collaboration Award: Sanmina Corporation, for responsiveness and ramp support and close collaboration on critical process components.
• Performance Award: Brooks Instrument LLC,, for key partnership in chemical delivery commodity and year-over-year cost reduction.
• Performance Award: Foxsemicon Integrated Technology Inc., for excellence in repeatable quality performance and best-in-class on-time delivery to the factory and field.
• Performance Award: Meopta-optika, s.r.o., for high quality responsiveness and on-time delivery, strong support to R&D, and commercial collaboration.
• Performance Award: Rockwell Automation, Inc., for close collaboration on the AC power distribution commodity, strong ramp support and lead time reduction.
