Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) and ACTEGA, a member of the ALTANA Group, entered into a partnership in which ACTEGA will provide PVC-free closure compounds to AB InBev in China. To this end, ACTEGA will build an additional production line at its Foshan site in South China.

“We are looking forward to manufacturing our proven high-end products directly in China,” says ACTEGA Division president Dr. Roland Peter. “This is an important new step in our long-term cooperation with Anheuser-Busch InBev.”

Closure compounds produced by ACTEGA for AB InBev are not only PVC-free, but fulfill the highest requirements for retaining the taste of the beverage. They are, for example, specifically designed to protect filling goods from ingress of oxygen even under difficult transportation conditions. They also improve the retention of carbon dioxide inside the bottle and thus extend the beer’s shelf life.
