ALTANA Purchases PulseForge 1300 from NovaCentrix

The tool has been installed at ALTANA Printed Electronics in Hartenstein and is already contributing to undisclosed R&D projects, including Smart Packaging and Smart Surfaces.

“The addition of the PulseForge 1300 to our material processing capabilities will allow us to develop and provide a new generation of materials for our customers,” said Dr. Matthias Eul, head of R&D for ALTANA Printed Electronics. “The capabilities of the NovaCentrix PulseForge tools are exceptional, and their team has been instrumental in transferring their process knowledge to help us to support our customers.”

Photonic curing, developed and patented by NovaCentrix, uses specially controlled high-power flash lamps to dry, sinter, and anneal high-temperature materials on low temperature substrates.
