Effective July 1, 2008, AllessaChemie GmbH acquired the Reflex Blue business from Clariant International AG. Due to an increasing competitive pressure enhanced by the negative impact of the worldwide economic crisis, the reflex blue business is suffering losses. No significant improvement of the situation is expected in the foreseeable future. Therefore after careful consideration, AllessaChemie GmbH has decided to cease production of reflex blue products effective April 1, 2010. Formed from parts of the former Hoechst AG and Clariant GmbH in the middle of 2001, AllessaChemie’s roots go back over 150 years. AllessaChemie is a production partner for organic compounds – for commercial production or the development of new products.
