Akzo Nobel Inks Offers New Foil Adhesive

Akzo Nobel Inks has introduced Foilbond TC ThruCure Adhesive, developed for a variety of substrates.
    
Foilbond TC is put down onto the substrate using flexo; the substrate, with this UV curable adhesive, is nipped with the foil and passed through the UV unit while still under pressure. The foil transfers from its carrier and adheres to the adhesive.
    
This technique eliminates the need for costly heated rotary engraved dies or major changes in press configuration, and allows the converter to achieve a wide variety of special effects while using existing flexo presses.
