Ron Matthews, Michael Laing Join Ultra Additives

Ultra Additives has announced that Ron Matthews and Michael Laing have joined the company as regional sales managers.
    
Mr. Matthews has assumed responsibility for marketing and sales promotion of the company’s PCA&I products in the Southeast region.
    
Mr. Matthews’ background is extensive in the sales, marketing and Business management of specialty chemicals in the coatings, inks, adhesive and textile markets. His most recent work assignment was as president of mid-sized chemical company. He recently decided to shift his career focus into a field sales position to capitalize on his job experience and personal desire. Mr. Matthews has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from North Carolina State and an MBA from Wake Forest.
    
Mr. Laing has assumed the newly-created position of regional sales manger for PCA&I in the Midwest and Canada. This position was created to increase Ultra Additives’ resources in this highly concentrated sales region. Mr. Laing’s territory will cover Illinois, Wisconsin, Canada (Toronto and Montreal) and Minnesota, and he will also support Nulyne Sales in its territory (St. Louis, Iowa, western Tennessee and Arkansas).
    
Mr. Laing’s background includes 20 years of sales experience selling polymers, pigments and additives into the paint, printing ink, plastics and automotive industries. For the last 15 years, he was employed by Johnson Polymer as senior district accounts manager selling polymers predominantly for printing inks in the Midwest and Canadian regions. Mr. Laing earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.
