The OE-A Competition 2027 is now open for submissions.

The OE-A, an international working group for printed electronics within the VDMA, invites companies, start-ups, research institutes, and young professionals to submit their latest innovations in flexible and printed electronics.

All selected projects will be showcased at LOPEC 2027 (March 2–4, 2027) in Munich, where they will be presented to an international audience of industry experts.

The submission deadline for OE-A member companies is December 4, 2026. Final demonstrators must be delivered by January 27, 2027.

Entries can be submitted in one or more of the following categories:

  1. Prototypes and New Products
  2. Freestyle Demonstrator
  3. Best Publicly Funded Project Demonstrator

An international jury of experts from industry and academia will evaluate the submissions based on innovation, market potential, technical implementation, and overall impression.

LOPEC visitors will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite exhibit on-site and help determine the winner of the Public Choice Award.

All submitted projects will be exhibited at the OE-A booth during LOPEC 2027, the world’s leading exhibition and conference for flexible and printed electronics.

The winners will be announced during the official LOPEC Award Show.

“The OE-A Competition demonstrates year after year just how innovative and diverse our industry is,” says Dr. Klaus Hecker, Managing Director of OE-A. “From early-stage demonstrators to market-ready products, the competition highlights how flexible and printed electronics are helping to advance key future topics such as mobility, sustainability, healthcare, and digitalization.”
