Electronics For Imaging, Inc. (EFI) announces that it will showcase multiple productivity and automation enhancements designed to increase the value and versatility of its broad portfolio of production-level digital inkjet printers at PRINTING United Expo 2025.
The company will also display a wide range of printed samples from its sign and display graphics, packaging, and textile printers. PRINTING United Expo is scheduled for October 22 to 24 in Orlando, Florida, and EFI will be in booth 1542.
“We are looking forward to the PRINTING United Expo, the premier printing show in the United States,” says Frank Pennisi, EFI’s CEO. “It is an important opportunity to meet existing customers, speak with prospective customers, collaborate with partners, and share our story with the industry.
“This year, we’re showcasing an array of new technologies and enhancements that make our portfolio even more productive, helping customers offer new applications and strengthen the profitability of their operations,” Pennisi adds. “EFI remains dedicated to delivering the industry’s most sustainable printing solutions, supporting our customers and their customers in achieving their sustainability goals.”
Visitors to EFI’s booth 1542 will see live demonstrations of the latest innovations across EFI’s portfolio and learn how they can translate into greater efficiencies and business growth opportunities. Visitors will see:
• The EFI VUTEk® Q3h XP high-speed hybrid flatbed/roll-fed LED printer that combines exceptional image quality, flexible production-level throughput, and advanced media handling and automation options, making it an ideal solution for businesses looking to address labor challenges and cost-reduction initiatives.
• The 3.2-meter EFI VUTEk M3h hybrid flatbed/roll-fed LED printer designed for print providers moving into higher-volume production, and looking for new capabilities to lower costs, increase margins, accelerate turnarounds, and enable printing on a broader range of flexible and rigid applications. These new options now available for the VUTEk M3h printer will be demonstrated at the show:
1. Media edge guides (MEG) for efficient hold-down of corrugated boards and other uneven rigid materials.
2. Dual split shaft unwinder/winder for efficient two-up roll printing.
3. Clear ink, which can be printed simultaneously with white and in line with the other colors, for full flood or spot decorative effects, showcasing how added gloss or texture can elevate print value.
4. New software feature to enable multi-layer printing up to nine layers in any color, including white and clear ink.
• The 3.5-meter EFI VUTEk X3r roll-to-roll LED printer engineered for high-volume production of indoor and outdoor sign and display graphics. The VUTEk X3r printer integrates automation, software, and hardware to support minimal operator supervision of print jobs and an efficient print-to-finished-graphic workflow system.
• A preview of EFInsight cloud-based intelligence for sign and display graphics printing. Introduced for use with EFI Nozomi single-pass printers, EFInsight is expanding to EFI’s shuttle-based, multi-pass platforms, starting with EFI roll-to-roll printers.
“We are excited to be showing textile samples – including ecoDenim, babywear, non-woven fabrics, fashion accessories and more – and samples produced on our EFI Nozomi single-pass digital inkjet press, optimized for both signs and display graphics as well as traditional corrugated packaging applications,” says Ken Hanulec, EFI vice president, worldwide marketing.
Several EFI partners will also feature EFI solutions during PRINTING United Expo:
• The 65-inch wide EFI Pro 16h+ printer will be running in LexJet booth 2455. This production-level hybrid flatbed/roll-fed UV LED inkjet printer is ideal for print service providers expanding into higher-margin wide-format graphics or looking for new capabilities.
• Nazdar SourceOne will also be running the EFI Pro 16h+ printer in booth 1561, as well as the EFI Pro 30f+ flatbed LED printer with a large bed size and printable area of 120 x 80 inches (3.05 m x 2.04 m) that offers superior image quality and production-level speeds. It also supports white ink and up to five-layer printing in a single pass.
• In Ricoh’s booth 5621, visitors will see the 3.2-meter EFI Pro 30h+ hybrid LED printer designed to help print service providers widen their competitive advantage with more capacity, faster job turns, and lower costs, and to profit from higher-margin graphics.
• Additionally, Inèdit, an EFI company, will exhibit in booth 2672. “Show-goers will see how the ultimate RIP software for digital textile printing can streamline production with highly advanced workflow solutions, including textile profiling, calibration, design integration, and more,” Pennisi said.
