SAKATA INX Earns ISO 45001 at Domestic Production Sites

Sites in Osaka, Tokyo, Shiga and Hanyu have obtained certification for ISO 45001 and the domestic standard JIS Q 45100.

SAKATA INX announces that its four domestic production sites (Osaka, Tokyo, Shiga and Hanyu) have obtained certification for the international standard ISO 45001 and the domestic standard JIS Q 45100 for occupational health and safety management systems.

The company has transitioned from the previously introduced JISHA-approved OSHMS to a more systematic and internationally recognized certification system.

JIS Q 45100 is a Japan-specific management standard based on ISO 45001, incorporating elements tailored to Japan’s legal system and practical operation. The purpose of this certification is to establish a globally unified foundation for occupational health and safety, and to enhance the efficiency of audits and management as well as accelerate improvement activities through quality (ISO 9001) and environmental (ISO 14001) management systems. The frequency and scope of audits will be expanded.

By enhancing the effectiveness of the occupational health and safety management system, SAKATA INX will further strengthen its efforts to reduce workplace accidents in Japan.

SAKATA INX’s overseas affiliated companies are also in the process of obtaining ISO 45001 certification.
