Lorsa Modernizes Warehouse Operations with Zebra’s Solutions

Zebra Technologies announces that Lorsa, a leading provider of comprehensive laundry, drying, and finishing solutions, had a significant upgrade to its warehouse operations, addressing previous inefficiencies and enhancing inventory management using Zebra’s technology.

Lorsa is dedicated to the distribution of spare parts, accessories, and support for washing machines via air, land and sea. Previously, Lorsa faced challenges with manual warehouse processes that led to limited control and traceability, impacting inventory accuracy. Common issues included discrepancies in order fulfillment, loss of merchandise, and lack of traceability to measure operational efficiency.

To overcome these challenges, Lorsa implemented a specialized warehouse modernization solution featuring robust Zebra MC3300 mobile computers, ZT411 industrial printers, and supplies. Additionally, Lorsa adopted the “In Action” Warehouse Management System (WMS) from Dataware, a ZebraPartnerConnect premier Solution Provider.

“For us, the winning formula was Zebra Technologies with Dataware,” said Christian Ousset Kifuri, operations director, Lorsa. “We can now precisely track the location of over 10,000 SKUs in our inventory, from receipt to shipment.”

Post-implementation, Lorsa has reduced inventory counting time from four hours to 20 minutes. Similarly, customer service counter stocking times have decreased by 80%, and international order reception times have been cut from five days to 24 hours.

Lorsa has also reduced customer returns and merchandise losses, streamlining reverse logistics and cutting costs.
