MedTech Breakthrough, an independent market intelligence organization that recognizes the top companies, technologies and products in the global health and medical technology market, announced that Zebra Technologies was selected as a winner in the fifth annual MedTech Breakthrough Awards program.
Zebra Technologies is an innovator at the edge of the enterprise with solutions and partners that enable businesses to gain a performance edge. This year Zebra was selected as the winner of the “Best Overall mHealth Hardware Solution” for its TC52-HC healthcare mobile computer.
The TC52-HC healthcare mobile computer was purpose-built for the healthcare environment to help unburden the delivery of care and provide improved accuracy and patient safety.
The device builds on Zebra’s highly successful TC51-HC, with a new platform and capabilities to deliver clinical collaboration and data capture features for healthcare staff. These new additions were designed to give healthcare providers the tools they need to deliver the highest quality of patient care.
“Healthcare providers are busier than ever before, and we’re proud to offer them a solution that helps improve efficiencies as well as drive better collaboration,” said Chris Sullivan, Global Healthcare Practice lead, Zebra Technologies. “Being recognized for the fourth consecutive year with a MedTech Breakthrough designation is a huge achievement, and we’re honored to be among this year’s award recipients.”
The TC52-HC improves patient engagement, is optimized for voice capabilities, and comes equipped with Zebra’s full suite of Mobility DNA solutions which increase staff productivity, enhance clinical collaboration and help reduce medical errors.
The TC52-HC also offers a large full HD display and a front-facing 5 MP camera to help enable remote video conferencing with patients and colleagues to improve care quality and caretaker productivity. This capability helps support telehealth and clinical interactions where in-person visits might not be feasible.
The accolades from MedTech Breakthrough shine a light on Zebra’s commitment to providing innovative barcode scanning, RFID, mobile computing and software solutions to the healthcare industry.
In 2020, MedTech Breakthrough recognized the Zebra DS9908R-HD Hybrid Imager as the “Best Clinical Administration Hardware Device.”
The mission of the MedTech Breakthrough Awards is to honor excellence and recognize the innovation, hard work and success in a range of health and medical technology categories, including Robotics, Clinical Administration, Telehealth, Patient Engagement, Electronic Health Records (EHR), mHealth, Medical Devices, Medical Data and many more.
This year’s program attracted more than 3,850 nominations from over 17 different countries throughout the world.
“Zebra continues its streak of innovation in the healthcare technology space with the TC52-HC mobile computer that is designed to help increase productivity and collaboration between clinicians, allowing caregivers to spend more time with patients at the point-of-care,” said James Johnson, managing director, MedTech Breakthrough. “The TC52-HC from Zebra provides healthcare organizations with a disinfectant-ready enterprise solution to help improve operational efficiencies and for the fourth year in a row, we are excited to recognize Zebra for its breakthrough innovation in the medical technology space.”
