Checkpoint Systems earned the GOOD DESIGN distinction from The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design for 2018. GOOD DESIGN is the oldest design awards program organized annually by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in cooperation with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies. GOOD DESIGN covers inventive consumer products, graphics and packaging designed and manufactured in Europe, Asia, Africa, and North and South America. Checkpoint offers an intelligent retail solutions portfolio of hardware, software, sensors and IoT connected devices for loss prevention and inventory control system for retail environments, designed to improve retailers’ profitability and the consumer’s experience. The NEO EAS antenna platform delivers superior RF and RFID sensor performance, allowing for industry leading 9-ft. spacing between each antenna for unimpeded foot traffic. Fewer antennas translate into lower installation costs; NEO also uses secure wireless communications between antennas to reduce cabling and physical installation upheaval. NEO is designed to enhance the customer shopping experience in a wide range of retail settings, creating an environment of improved ROI’s and lower operational costs. The modern design of NEO balances curves and defined edges to convey sophistication and technical precision. NEO combines beauty and brains, with IoT connectivity to Checkpoint’s HALO platform and integrated advertising panel option for optimizing retail messaging at the lease line. Interested parties can see a preview of Checkpoint’s NEO and other solutions being demonstrated at NRF 2019 from Jan. 13-15 in New York here. “The collaboration with Radius Design on our NEO antennas produced a revolutionary design that is both aesthetically pleasing and technologically advanced,” said Simon Edgar, global director, R&D, for Checkpoint. “Innovations beyond aesthetics include EAS industry-leading 9-ft. [2.7m] RF and RFID electronic performance, wireless inter-antenna communication, integrated ad panels and IoT connectivity to our HALO platform.” “We designed NEO from the inside out, defining the product architecture to maximize performance, improve serviceability, and reduce cost through innovation in design for manufacturing,” said Jim Holtorf, director of design for Radius. “Our approach to the look and feel for the product line focused on simplicity and sophistication, to support flexibility in fitting a wide range of retail environments.”
