Oxford PV announced it has placed an order with Meyer Burger for perovskite top cell production equipment.

This equipment will be integrated with the turnkey 100 MW silicon heterojunction solar cell line that Oxford PV ordered from Meyer Burger in August 2019. The order additionally includes development work on both line and process integration.

“Oxford PV’s move to a commercial manufacturer is building momentum. We now have the orders placed for our first 125 MW perovskite-on-silicon solar cell manufacturing line,” Oxford PV CEO Frank P. Averdung said.

All equipment purchased from Meyer Burger will be fully integrated and installed at Oxford PV’s industrial site in Brandenburg an der Havel, Germany.
