3M Touch Systems announced that for a limited time, 3M high-performance, multi-touch desktop displays will ship with a “no charge” coupon to redeem Gestureworks Core. The Gestureworks multi-touch software authoring framework provides developers with a development platform for creating exciting and immersive multi-touch and multi-user interfaces. When combined with the high-performance features of 3M multi-touch displays, up to 40 touches and less than 10ms ultra-fast response time, Gestureworks Core is an ideal tool for developers to design, test and implement their next generation multi-touch applications. “3M is pleased to offer our display customers an opportunity to redeem Gestureworks Core at no charge to help them build the immersive, multi-touch applications they envision,” said Diego Romeu, global business unit manager, 3M Electronic Business Solutions. “The high-performance multi-touch characteristics of 3M Multi-Touch Displays help unleash the development potential of this multi-touch platform.” “We are thrilled to have our Gestureworks authoring platform offered with 3M multi-touch displays” said Jim Spadaccini, CEO of Ideum (the parent company of Gestureworks). “3M multi-touch screens are well-known for their accuracy and responsiveness.
