Expands Tagtrails user experience to more than 300 million iPhones

Identive Group, Inc. announced availability of its Tagtrail mobile app for iOS devices in the Apple App Store. This immediately enables retailers and marketers to include the large base of iOS users in their near field communication (NFC) campaigns by simply integrating or adding quick response (QR) codes. Campaign owners can deploy dynamic mobile campaigns to promote their services or brands with the confidence that they are reaching both iOS and Android users and that their taps and scans can be measured to evaluate campaign success. The more than 300 million iPhone users now can access and share a broad array of content delivered through Tagtrail’s secure, cloud-based dynamic content delivery platform. “Our vision for Tagtrail is to enable the delivery of dynamic and relevant content directly to users’ smartphones, where it can be saved and acted upon,” said David Holmes, vice president Mobility & NFC Solutions for Identive. “Large mobile campaigns using NFC tags in Europe and North America are quickly expanding Tagtrail’s footprint and increasing its visibility with consumers. Our new iOS app allows iPhone users to enjoy a rich mobile experience when they scan QR codes integrated into Tagtrail NFC campaigns. Content downloaded using the app is formatted for easy viewing on the iPhone’s screen; and iOS users can then see a history of Tagtrail scans on their devices, take content with them to re-live later, and share that content via social networks.” Identive’s patent-pending Tagtrail platform enables advertisers, marketers and organizations of all types and sizes to deliver dynamic, personalized content and services to users’ mobile devices via NFC tags and QR codes. The Tagtrail solution includes cloud-based content delivery and analytics services and mobile user apps, now available for iOS and Android phones. The new iOS Tagtrail mobile app is available for download from Apple’s App Store. “For brand owners and service providers, our new mobile app extends the reach and value of their Tagtrail marketing campaigns by including the large user base of iOS devices and by enabling the collection and analysis of data to inform marketing efforts,” Holmes added. “As with the Android app, iPhone users are invited to create a personal profile that provides campaign owners with high level data about who is engaging with their campaigns.
