Confidex introduced the Confidex Silverline label for industrial logistics, asset tracking and work-in-process (WIP) monitoring applications. Combining the company’s proven expertise in RFID on-metal tag design and in RFID label manufacturing, Confidex Silverline RFID labels offer consistent performance on all asset surfaces, packaged in an easy-to-use label format. ”Confidex Silverline offers impressive printability for an on-metal RFID tag. Compressibility of the tag and unique design with spacer labels between each tag provided excellent print quality with Zebra RZ400 and RZ600 printers,” said Michael Fein, senior RFID product manager, Zebra. “Silverline is a great solution for on-demand, printed and encoded, RFID asset tags; it’s a welcome addition to Confidex’s industry leading RFID tag portfolio.” Confidex UHF RFID tag and label products are globally implemented in various industries such as in automotive manufacturing, enterprise asset management and industrial logistics. The same extensive RFID design and manufacturing experience is now utilized for creating the company’s latest RFID label concept, Confidex Silverline, to expand RFID usage in new applications. Designed for exceptional ease of attachment, the labels can be applied to any material and curved surfaces. The same performance stability applies across all types of surface materials to ensure trouble-free setup in versatile asset tracking applications. “We worked closely with printer manufacturers and system integrators to develop the most usable all-surface-tag. When using the Silverline UHF RFID label, our customers can utilize the existing RFID printer infrastructure and select only one label without worrying the possible effects on assets’ different surface materials. Silverline’s RF performance remains stable independently on the material”, said Miika Pylvänäinen, Confidex product manager. “Customers value our years of experience producing high-quality, affordable RFID labeling products in high volumes. We’re excited to launch Confidex Silverline to the market and strengthen our label offering with its industry-leading printability and user-friendliness.” “As RFID technology has become more versatile and cost-efficient, more industries are seeking the improved data management, mobility, cost reduction and regulatory compliance benefits that RFID asset tracking solutions enable,” said Diana Hage, CEO, RFID Global Solution, Inc. “The Confidex Silverline label, coupled with RFID Global’s Visi-Trac software, is an ideal asset tracking solution for a range of businesses, including IT and enterprise assets.” Confidex Silverline labels deliver smooth processing on RFID printers, thanks to a flexible, low-profile material that is easily compressed. A unique label design incorporates a disposable label between every RFID label, allowing best-in-class usability and printability, while eliminating waste. The printing and encoding capabilities of Confidex Silverline labels have been qualified for easy interoperability with a range of leading RFID printers, including compliance with printers from Sato, Datamax, Toshiba and Zebra. “Testing of the new Confidex Silverline metal RFID labels with our M-Class and H-Class RFID printers was successful,” said Cindy Guiles, senior product manager for Datamax-O’Neil. “This represented the first time we conducted testing with this type of label and it proved the integrity of this solution. The introduction of this unique type of label into the marketplace will meet the requirements of many RFID applications.” Versatile Confidex Silverline labels can be used in a variety of applications, demonstrating weather, dust and chemical resistance and the ability to withstand temperatures ranging from -35°C to +70°C (-31°F to +158° F).
