Hanwha Q CELLS announced that it is going to strengthen its position in France’s PV market by opening its first office in the country. Based in Aix-en-Provence near Marseille, the new office will be run by Philippe Pflieger, Hanwha Q CELLS‘ newly appointed head of sSales France. Moreover French PV customers will continuously benefit from the “Made in EU” certificate, which the company has received for the second time, after again fully meeting all obligations of the French certification agency Certisolis.

“France is one of our European home markets. We are actively pursuing solar opportunities to gain further market share,” said Justin Lee, CCO at Hanwha Q CELLS. “According to our international market offensive in 2014, we are well positioned to develop solar power in France.” According to analysts at NPD Solarbuzz, France will be one of the recovering European PV markets in this year next to Germany, the U.K. and Italy.

“Thanks to its high irradiation PV makes a lot of sense in France’s sunny regions. We build on our well established business with developers and wholesalers,” added Pflieger. “With a strengthened team and our new office we can now offer an on-site service throughout the entire country. In the next step, we will enter into long-term partnerships with installers in the whole country.”
