The Centre for Process Innovation (CPI) and its spin-out companies Polyphotonix and Primary Dispersions Ltd. (PDL) have been shortlisted for a number of prestigious industry awards.

The Annual Chemical Industry Association (CIA) awards reflect the fast pace of change within the chemicals using industries and are judged by a panel of sponsors, CIA members and independent experts. CPI and Primary Dispersions Ltd. have each been nominated for the Bilfinger Industrial Services Award for Engineering Excellence; CPI for work on AGMs graphene demonstration plant and PDL for its work in high shear mixing.

Polyphotonix and PDL have each been nominated for the GSK Innovation Award, which will be awarded to the company that can provide the most successful examples of profitable innovation in an area of business that will help solve today’s societal challenges. Polyphotonix has been shortlisted for their work with treating macular eye disease, and PDL for its work with high shear mixing.

As well as nominations for the CIA awards, CPI is shortlisted for the ADBA award for Best Supporting Service in Anaerobic Digestion. CPI’s Anaerobic Digestion development facilities are open access and provide UK companies with support to develop and prove Anaerobic Digestion processes.

“We are delighted that our success here at CPI is being recognized by being shortlisted for these important industry awards,” said CPI CEO Nigel Perry. “We wish all the shortlisted companies the best of luck.”
