Hirsch Electronics announced two new appointments to its executive team.

Stephen Healy has been appointed executive vice president sales and marketing, responsible for all sales, marketing and market communications for Hirsch on a global basis.

Healy comes to Hirsch with a 27-year track record of achievement in sales, marketing and product management. Previously he served as vice president of sales for a division of UTC Fire & Security, where his responsibilities included management of sales, sales support, channels and market development programs as well as continuous executive level involvement in corporate expansion and organic growth initiatives. Most recently, he was a consultant for both the Hirsch and SCM Microsystems business units of Identive Group, developing international sales programs to expand the businesses’ global customer and market base.

Mark Allen has been named executive vice president technology and operations, responsible for managing Hirsch’s professional services, training, quality assurance, technical support, manufacturing, information technology and product development activities on a global basis.

Allen initially joined Hirsch in 2003 and has overseen the successful development and growth of the company’s Professional Services Group, a key differentiator for Hirsch in the marketplace. Prior to Hirsch, he served as vice president engineering for Technologic Software and its RAS product, which subsequently was sold to IBM as the Tivoli provisioning system.

“I’m very pleased that Steve and Mark are taking on these important roles within Hirsch’s executive team,” Lawrence Midland, president of Hirsch Electronics and executive vice president of Identive Group, commented. “These two professionals are ideally suited to help us leverage the greater amount of both resources and opportunities we now have available to us as a part of Identive Group. Their leadership is key to ensuring we continue to address our customers’ needs for integrated, flexible and proven security systems, even as we grow in scale and expand our market reach.”
