Applied Nanotech Holdings, Inc. announced that Ishihara Chemical Company will begin marketing its copper inks, using technology licensed from Applied Nanotech. Ishihara will launch its market efforts at Tokyo’s JPCA Show 2011, where it will showcase its copper inks.

JPCA 2011, the 41st International Electronic Circuit Exhibition, is being held from June 1-3, 2011 at Tokyo Big Sight. As a popular Japanese exhibit showcasing the most cutting edge developments in the electronic circuits industry, the JPCA Show is the perfect venue for showcasing the most recent developments in Applied Nanotech’s ink technologies.

Ishihara is currently preparing its manufacturing facility for production and will focus its marketing efforts on a wide variety of industries, including LED lighting, solar cells, RFID tags, EL displays, LED displays, medical sensors, intelligent packaging, and others.

Dr. Zvi Yaniv, CEO of Applied Nanotech, Inc., commented on the recent developments: “We are happy to see our strategic relationship with Ishihara come to fruition as we accomplish our common goal of getting our copper inks to market.”

Applied Nanotech and Ishihara were jointly awarded the coveted R&D 100 award in 2010 for their inkjettable copper inks, which can be deposited using many printing technologies in air on a flexible thin film substrate offering a new generation of simpler manufacturing methods for producing more energy-efficient, environmentally friendly products and manufacturing methods.

In 2009, APNT announced that it had entered into an exclusive worldwide license agreement with Ishihara related to manufacturing and commercializing nano-copper inks and pastes. Ishihara’s manufacturing and marketing efforts will assist in developing end products to move these highly affordable copper nano inks to commercialization.
