Tieto, Confidex Provide Advanced RFID Solutions for Various Industries

Tieto and Confidex, a world leading supplier of high-performing RFID tag solutions, have signed a cooperation agreement to develop and supply advanced RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) solutions for demanding industrial applications. The solutions will be based on Tieto’s Sustainability Intelligence Cloud Service and Confidex’ industrial RFID solutions.

Sustainability Intelligence is a cloud-based turnkey service for implementing RFID in multi-stakeholder value chain. The service gathers data according to globally agreed standards and provides state-of-the-art analytics, which are available both as ready-made and customized packages.

Both Tieto and Confidex have a strong position in industries where reliable traceability of goods and transports is critical. Various RFID solutions have already been jointly developed for example in the forest and paper industries. In addition to increasing cost effectiveness, the importance of improved use of natural resources is driving Tieto and Confidex to develop innovative solutions for traceability.
