Identive Announces $3.3 Million in Transponder Orders for Transit Applications

Identive Group, Inc. announced the receipt of two orders totalling $3.3 million for RFID inlays and tickets for mass transit applications in the U.S. and Southeast Asian markets.

“Major metropolitan transit systems increasingly are moving to RFID technology for ticketing, to take advantage of greater security, durability and ease of operation for passengers,” said Michael Kober, managing director of Identive’s Transponder Division. “Identive continues to win significant contracts in this market and as we expand our production capacity, we are pleased to be able to serve an expanding customer base.”

Identive expects to deliver the U.S. orders representing nearly $2 million over a 14-month period and the Asian order over the next 24 months.
