Toumaz Limited announced the appointment of Anthony Sethill as CEO. Following its annual general meeting, Chris Toumazou will become executive chairman and Sir Richard Sykes, formerly executive chairman, will step down from the board.

Sethill was a founder of Frontier Silicon Ltd., the leading supplier of digital broadcast and network audio products, in 2001, and was CEO until December 2011. He successfully grew the business, establishing Frontier Silicon as a strategic supplier of digital audio chips and modules to global consumer electronic brands.

Prior to that, he was managing director of consumer and mobile phone products at Amstrad PLC; sales and marketing director at Samsung (UK) Ltd.; and also held positions with ONDigital and Alba Group Plc.

“As we indicated at our results on April 2, we have changed the Board’s composition to reflect our new strategic and operational needs,” Professor Toumazou commented. “In recognition of the excellent progress made in developing our proprietary technologies, we are strengthening our commercial credentials. Anthony’s experience will provide us with the commercial expertise to implement our international development, while I will continue to focus on strategy and the exploitation of our industry networks around the world.

“On behalf of the Group, I would like to thank Richard for his considerable contribution to Toumaz over the years,” Prof. Toumazou added. “He leaves us in a great position to be able to promote our leading IP in a range of health, sport and consumer markets.”

“I am pleased to be joining Toumaz at such an important stage in its development, and to be working with Chris and the team to exploit and rapidly commercialize the Group’s exciting technology,” Sethill said.
