Bluehill ID AG has completed the acquisition of all of the assets of Canadian animal ID and tracking company Syscan International. Bluehill ID thus enters the animal ID market and expands its North America presence.

Syscan ID Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bluehill ID, based in Montréal, Canada, completed the acquisition. All of the former Syscan International employees and products have been transferred to the new company and Syscan ID is already in full operation.

Commenting on the acquisition, Mark Haugwitz, managing director of Syscan ID stated, “We are pleased to have completed this transaction successfully and are now looking forward to expanding our business in our traditional tracking, animal ID and other electronic identification markets as part of the Bluehill ID Group.”

Ayman S. Ashour, the Bluehill ID CEO, added, “Syscan adds important customer relationships, technology and market expertise to our Group, we are happy to have Mark and his team join Bluehill ID. We are also pleased that Joe Tassone, the former CEO of Syscan International, has agreed to join us for an interim period to facilitate the smooth transition into Bluehill ID and to minimize disruption to customer service.”
