Zebra Technologies Corporation announced the company’s CEO, Anders Gustafsson, will speak Tuesday at the National Summit in Detroit, MI, which will focus on the future of the American economy.

The National Summit is set for June 15-17 at the Detroit Marriot Renaissance Center and is sponsored by the Detroit Economic Club. The three-day conference brings together business leaders, government officials and academic experts to discuss and advance a national economic agenda.

Gustafsson will participate in the Summit’s Entrepreneurialism and Innovation Town Hall, which will explore innovations in business and technology that will create job opportunities to help repair the national economy. At the Town Hall, Gustafsson will discuss how, through open standards, technology can deliver the value of inter-connective and accessible information that ultimately improves business productivity. The session is set for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, in the Mackinac Room on the fifth floor of the Detroit Marriot Renaissance Center.

“Increased visibility and control in real time is a requirement for competitive advantage in today’s global supply chains,” Gustafsson said. “To meet the needs of supply chain operators, technology companies must lead the way in improving the accuracy of information relating to their most important business processes for competitive advantage. The cost of inaccuracy within the supply chain is too high – from food recalls to patient safety.”
