A tour through the symbolic places of designer Alessandro Enriquez, exploring his vision of color and creativity through both design and fashion.

For the third consecutive year, D-house laboratorio urbano, the Innovation Hub of Gruppo Pattern, announces its ongoing collaboration with Kornit Digital to present Alessandro Enriquez loves Kornit: The Places of the Heart. This narrative is defined by the designer’s unmistakable graphic signature and offers an open invitation to discover his creations made for Kornit Digital, spanning interior design and fashion garments. Over the course of the week, 10 iconic locations throughout Milan will undergo a true stylistic takeover, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the designer’s graphic signature. These spaces will transform into immersive environments that express Enriquez’s chromatic and stylistic identity. Enriquez’s stylistic lexicon is distinguished by the use of vibrant colors and bold prints, reflecting his deep love for Milan and Italy. His creations celebrate the city through recurring symbols such as strawberries, hearts, stars, and bicycles, all integrated into iconic patterns. Among the standout motifs are Love Motion, an energetic design featuring stylized hearts, strawberries, and dynamic lettering; Retro Ride, inspired by the vintage charm of two wheels, with blue and red geometric grids, three-dimensional hearts, and fluorescent bicycles; Star Grid, a mesh of red stars on a blue and white checkered background evoking a sporty aesthetic; and Double Hearts, a playful explosion of romance with red, blue, and white hearts symbolizing Enriquez’s love for color and his signature style. The collection is characterized by a bold color palette and a selection of strong, statement pieces: denim takes center stage with jackets, pants, and skirts in contemporary cuts, complemented by poplin shirts that add lightness and versatility. The collection also includes looks inspired by the cycling world, reinterpreted through a fashion lens with prints and graphic details that blend sportiness with urban elegance. The journey begins at the urban laboratory on Via Lodovico il Moro, 25, and expands throughout the city in an exhibition path that involves places meaningful to the designer, such as the historic Pasticceria Cucchi, the new Neapolitan trattoria CreDa, the Porta Venezia bistros Eppol, Eppol Pie, Eppolino, Dhole, Memà, Enoteca Siciliana Champagnerì, and the Radisson Collection Hotel located within the Touring Club Italiano building, as well as the designer’s own office and the Jannelli & Volpi Store. From runners to cushions to curtains, everything is customized with Enriquez’s distinctive graphics. Enriquez comments, “Colors are a part of me—I couldn’t live without them. I’m not talking about fashion, but about ways of living. I love storytelling, and this time I wanted to tell the story of my city, Milan, exactly as I see it through my lens: a city full of color and love! Every element of this project is an invitation to express oneself, to experience urban spaces with energy and awareness, embracing a dynamic and responsible lifestyle. Thanks to the support of Kornit Digital and D-house, we were able to amplify the message in the most colorful and printed way possible!” Enriquez’s designs come to life through Kornit technology, transforming his creations into three-dimensional codes to be explored. The intricate printing process results in extraordinary outcomes—both tactile and visual. Enabled by the Kornit Presto MAX and Atlas MAX technologies, this innovative approach showcases the endless possibilities of digital printing, offering a versatile solution that surpasses traditional limits and elevates the art of printing on various materials. “Returning to Milan Design Week for the third year in a row with D-house is more than a tradition—it’s a testament to the power of collaboration, creativity, and cutting-edge technology,” said Marco Bonanno, GM Italy, Kornit Digital. “This year, alongside Alessandro Enriquez, we’re not just showcasing innovation; we’re weaving it into the fabric of Milan itself. Kornit continues to push the boundaries of digital fashion and design, and our growing presence at this global stage reflects our commitment to shaping a more vibrant, expressive, and sustainable future.” The Kornit Presto MAX printer redefines the possibilities of fabric and design, offering the most sustainable and advanced roll-to-roll decoration solution available. With its groundbreaking capabilities, it enables limitless creative expression across a wide range of textiles. By harnessing the power of XDi technology, the Presto MAX sets a new standard for high-impact decorative applications, transforming both the fashion and design industries. From brilliant, high-opacity whites on dark fabrics to a vivid, unmatched color spectrum, the Presto MAX pushes beyond traditional boundaries, delivering unparalleled quality, versatility, and sustainability in digital textile printing. The Atlas MAX also plays a significant role in this project, delivering exceptional results in Direct-to-Garment printing. Its consistent high-quality output, unmatched design versatility, and revolutionary XDi technology bring designs to life with stunning 3D effects, unlocking new creative dimensions.
