Toyo Ink Co., Ltd., Toyo Ink Arets N.V. and Toyo-Morton Co., Ltd. will be exhibiting together at drupa 2016, which runs May 31 to June 10 in Düsseldorf, Germany. The three firms will jointly showcase a wide range of printing and packaging solutions designed to help brand owners and package printers reduce wastage throughout the supply chain, lesson environmental risks, enhance food safety and achieve uniform packaging quality worldwide. “At drupa 2016, the Toyo Ink Group will feature our comprehensive portfolio of packaging technologies and solutions for flexo printing, UV/EB curable printing, retort pouch production and eco-friendly water-based systems,” said Katsumi Yamazaki, president of Toyo Ink Co. Ltd. “We understand the complex challenges faced by today’s brand owners and package printers and look forward to demonstrating how our latest innovations can create additional value and growth opportunities for these customers.” Visitors to the Toyo Ink Group booth B39, Hall 4 can expect to see the FLASH DRY FL Kaleido series of UV-curable flexo inks. This series was designed in response to demands of today’s flexible packaging market for high-impact, vivid color reproduction. This product is ideal for the high design demands of tag and label printing, especially when used in combination with Toyo’s expanded-gamut pigments and unique color management system, which were tailor-made for this specialty ink. Toyo Ink will also spotlight its LIOFLEX AQUA LIONA NF series of flexo inks, which makes its world debut at drupa, to address the growing demand for water-based products in flexible packaging applications. Once considered impossible to achieve using water-based inks, the newly developed flexo ink series enables high-speed printing at a maximum speed of 500 meters per minute. Printed samples will be displayed at the Toyo Ink Group booth. Visitors to the Toyo Ink Group booth can also expect to find its next-generation lineup of inks and coatings specially designed for the food packaging market. STERAPLAST FOOD and STERACUP PLUS series of specialty inks and coatings from Toyo Ink Arets meet the increasing demand from package printers and brand owners for superior image resolution, enhanced printability, high productivity in addition to being safe for food packaging use. Package printers and brand owners looking for short-run solutions for their label and narrow web printing needs can find out more at the booth about Toyo ink Arets’ flagship solution for UV flexo printing, STERAFLEX. The series exhibits an excellent balance of rheology with other characteristics, bringing high print imaging, greater efficiency and economy to the flexo printing operation. The low migration and low odor variation, STERAFLEX FOOD, is specially formulated to support food label printers and packaging converters achieve desired print performance results. At drupa 2016, Toyo-Morton will also introduce a new lineup of solvent- and water-based laminating adhesive solutions for packaging applications.
