Speedmaster CS 92 can print 30 million impressions and upwards per year on one machine.

Heidelberg has announced the immediate North American market availability of the competitively priced 37” format Speedmaster CS 92. With numerous machines installed worldwide, the CS 92 is becoming the choice for small commercial printers needing to print 30 million impressions and upwards per year on one machine. Based on its productivity versus price performance, the new press offers the lowest cost per sheet against any other competitive press in its class. The Speedmaster CS 92 was first launched at China Print 2015 as a cost-effective solution for printers looking to consolidate multiple, older machines or wanting to upgrade from a half-size press to widen their market offering. The new press is available in standard four and five color configurations with and without coater or as a six color plus coater model. Additionally, for printers looking to diversify their print mix, the CS 92 is also available with UV curing. With a format size of 25” x 37” (8-up letter size sheets), customers benefit from a 20% plate savings over traditional 40” presses. Built upon the best-selling platform of the Speedmaster CD 102, the CS 92 prints up to 15,000 sheets per hour and comes standard with Preset Plus Feeder and Delivery – allowing for a diverse range of substrates. Additionally, Heidelberg’s award-winning Intellistart technology drastically shortens makeready times on the CS 92. Equipped with competitive 20” and 29” machines, CDI Printing Services of Gibsonia, PA, looked to Heidelberg for a cost effective solution to expand into the full size, UV market. CDI anticipates that the machine will increase their productivity by 25%-50%. “We knew that to stay competitive and at the leading edge in the market, we had to go to a bigger machine,” said Jake Williams, CDI VP of sales. “We’ll now be able to offer our customers UV, which extends the range of our product offerings through our ability to print special coatings and print on a broader range of substrates.”
