More than 153 exhibitors from 19 countries presented the latest technologies and developments in the industrial printing sector at the Munich Trade Fair Centre in Germany during InPrint 2017 (Nov. 14-16).

At InPrint 2017, leading international companies demonstrated modern technologies, machines, components and component parts as well as services for functional and decorative printing and packaging printing. Speciality, screen, digital and inkjet print are the four key areas of InPrint. Visitors were able to discover innovative technologies and latest processes for printing on metal, plastics, textile, glass, ceramics, wood and other surfaces. InPrint is exclusively dedicated to industrial print as part of the manufacturing process: from functional print for automotive components, household appliances, printed electronics, textiles and packaging to decorative printing on surfaces such as floor coverings and furniture.

The InPrint conference program: Three days of Expert Talks and Discussions
Top industry experts explored the possibilities that industrial print technology is opening up for manufacturing in a range of industries and present a series of case studies and practical examples. Attendees learned more about manufacturing trends like personalization of objects, mass customization, variable data and on-demand production, strategies for implementing new printing processes, the most promising manufacturing markets, and ways to generate new revenue streams.

Each conference day highlighted a key area of print applications:

  • Décor: Innovative processes and technologies for the decorative design of various surfaces and wall coverings with a focus on individualization;
  • Function: Technological developments in speciality, screen, digital and inkjet for functional printing in the automotive and packaging industries and many more;
  • Packaging: Trends, techniques and applications for printing on primary and secondary packaging, with a focus on the individualization of packaging.
Additionally, there were a wide range of presentations and talks by leading technology providers such as Agfa Graphics, FujiFilm, Global Inkjet Systems Ltd, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, Hinterkopf GmbH, Dr. Hönle AG, Hymmen, Mankiewicz Gebr. & Co.
