Smurfit Kappa Appoints Carol Fairweather as an Independent Director

Smurfit Kappa Group appointed Carol Fairweather to the Board as an independent, non-executive director.

Fairweather was CFO and an executive director of Burberry Group plc from July 2013 to January 2017. She joined Burberry in June 2006. Prior to her appointment as CFO, she held the position of SVP, Group Finance.

She also served as director of finance at News International Limited from 1997 to 2005 and UK Regional Controller at Shandwick from 1991 to 1997.

“We look forward to drawing on her expertise in the global retail sector and her experience as Chief Financial Officer of a FTSE 100 company,” said Smurfit Kappa Group Chairman Liam O’Mahony.
