Ink Industry Mourns Robert Olech

He was the owner of Gibbon Printing Inks, and was honored as CPIPC Ink Person of the Year.

Robert S. Olech, 60, of Hawthorn Woods, IL, passed away Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018 in Largo, FL. He was born December 30, 1957 in Chicago to Theodore and Dorothy (nee Modrzejewski) Olech.
 
Robert Olech was the owner of Gibbon Printing Inks, and was a recipient Ink Person of the Year from the Chicago Printing Ink Production Club (CPIPC). He is survived by his wife, Dorothee (nee Witkowski) Olech; his children, Michelle (Kevin Smith) Olech Smith, and Erick (Regina) Olech; his grandchildren, Brody and Gavin Olech; his brothers, Daniel (Arlene) Olech, and Michael (Jennifer) Olech; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
 
Robert is preceded in death by his brother, Donald Olech; and his parents.
 
A memorial visitation will be held from 1pm until time of memorial service at 4pm, Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 S. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich, IL.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation, www.sccf.org.
