Superior Printing Ink Adding Cartridge Filling System

Superior Printing Ink Co., Inc. has purchased a cartridge filling system. Recently commissioned, the custom built, vertical designed machine fills a 4.4 lb. plastic R1 cartridge in six seconds. It also accommodates 8 lb. R2 cartridges with minimal change-over time.

“Now, a conveyer delivers the cartridges from a hopper raising them up to the loading station, which sets them upright,” Mark Finley, vice president of manufacturing at Superior Printing Ink, explained.
