FUJIFILM Showcases Next Generation UV Inkjet Ink Technology with its Acuity LED 1600 at Graph Expo 2012

With groundbreaking image quality and class-leading productivity, the new FUJIFILM Acuity LED 1600 wide format inkjet UV LED printer will be on display at FUJIFILM North America Corporation’s Graphic Systems Division Booth 414 at Graph Expo 2012, taking place Oct. 7-10 in Chicago at McCormick Place South.

The Acuity LED printer is a unique hybrid printer driven by Fujifilm technology and designed for creativity. The Acuity LED uses new Fujifilm Dimatix Q-Series grayscale printheads with drop sizes as low as 10 picoliters to print true 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution for optimum image quality. A proprietary design, patent-pending UV LED ink curing system on the Acuity LED printer provides many benefits, including lower energy consumption and longer lamp life when compared to traditional metal halide UV curing technology.

The Acuity LED features an 8-color Fujifilm Uvijet ink set, including CMYK plus light cyan, light magenta, white and clear, and allows printing white or clear ink in a single pass for even greater productivity. The printer includes a Fujifilm RIP and Fujifilm spot color matching software to easily match Pantone and corporate colors. Spot clear ink adds special effects to create more value to graphic displays and signs. Also, the innovative hybrid design allows for printing on wide format roll media, rigid board and sheet substrates up to ½” thick and 63” wide. The print tables have a unique folding compact design that takes up minimal storage space.

Keys to the Acuity LED 1600 performance are class-leading productivity with print speeds up to 215 sq ft/h, while providing outstanding quality output. The Acuity LED 1600 offers best-in-class productivity and provides the capacity and capability to meet customer demand for short run jobs requiring quick delivery times. These capabilities provide the ability to produce exceptional quality, high value-added graphic displays, signs and banners on both roll and rigid substrates.
