KBA Users Receive Numerous Awards from WAN-IFRA

For 20 years the competition has been carried out at two-year intervals.

It aims to promote high-quality color printing in newspaper production on the basis of globally recognized standards in order to offer readers attractive print media and ad clients a first-class advertising medium. A total of 77 publishing and printing firms from 26 countries won a membership to the exclusive International Newspaper Color Quality Club 2014-2016. The award ceremony will be held during the World Publishing Expo from Oct. 13-15, 2014 in Amsterdam.

A total of 29 newspaper printing firms which operate web presses from Koenig & Bauer (KBA) were among the winners. This represents nearly 40% of all the prizes awarded. Along with the many prominent newspaper houses with conventional wet offset presses, seven users of the waterless KBA Cortina compact press again also belong to the world’s best.
