Flint Ink Promotes Beagle, Bitterle

Flint Ink has made two new executive appointments within its news ink operations. Roy Beagle, a Flint Ink veteran of four decades, will fill the company’s new, worldwide news ink position, serving as vice president, global news ink. James Bitterle will now lead in the capacity of vice president and general manager of the North American news ink division.
    
“The creation of a new, strategic global news ink position led by Roy, combined with Jim’s leadership in North America, will enhance Flint Ink’s ability to utilize all of its news ink resources to better serve our newspaper customers worldwide. This synergy will enable the company to deliver enhanced products and services that will support customer efficiencies and productivity,” said Dave Frescoln, president and COO of Flint Ink.     
    
Mr. Beagle will lead the company’s global expansion of its news ink business, facilitating the development and introduction of new products and systems that bring value to customers around the world. Mr. Beagle began his career with Flint Ink as a superintendent in manufacturing, eventually rising to the position of vice president and general manager of the North American news ink division.  
 Mr. Beagle is actively involved in various trade organizations, including NAA, Flexo Users Group, Metro Users Group, and International Users Group. In addition, he has been vital to Flint Ink’s creation of leading-edge technology, including rub-free inks, soy inks and various high-performance inks for the newspaper industry.
    
Mr. Bitterle joined the company in 1993, and most recently served as president of Flint Ink Asia – Pacific, a position he held since January 1999. Prior to that, he was vice president of manufacturing, commercial and packaging group. Before joining Flint Ink, he worked in the general management consulting group at Deloitte and Touche and in manufacturing and materials management at General Motors.
