Akzo Nobel Inks Names Distributor

Akzo Nobel Inks, Trelleborg, Sweden, announced Feb. 15 that it had named Atlas Graphic Supply Inc., Markham, Ontario, as its exclusive distributor for sheetfed printing inks in North and South America.
    
Atlas, USA is now establishing regional ink manufacturers and graphic arts dealers as distributors to serve this new market, said company officials.

Desmond Process Supply Joins Rutland Network

Rutland Plastic Technologies, Inc., a Pineville, NC-based manufacturer of PVC plastisol screen inks, has named Desmond Process Supply, of Troy, MI, as one of its newest distributors.
    
Desmond Process Supply’s services include equipment servicing, technical assistance, color matching and in-house screen making.
    
“Desmond Process Supply is Michigan’s largest screen printing supplier,” said Stan Burson, Rutland’s president and CEO. “It’s a tremendous opportunity to be able to offer their customers the quality and variety of Rutland’s line of plastisol screen printing inks.”
    
“With Rutland’s products, our customers have given us positive feedback and are pleased we can now supply them with Rutland inks,” said Dominic Ciaravino, president, Desmond Process Supply.

Ink and Masters for RisoGraph RN Models Offered by Repeat-O-Type

Ink cartridges and master rolls for use in Risograph RN 2000, RN 2100, RN 2130, RN 2150 and RN 2530 models are now being produced by Repeat-O-Type Manufacturing Corp., Wayne, NJ. The new items expand upon the company’s line of digital duplicating supplies.
    
The black ink is packaged in 1000cc cartridges that are compatible with Riso’s original brand cartridges. Fred Keen, Repeat-O-Type’s director of sales and marketing, said, “Our ink and masters were extensively beta tested by owners of RN machines and they report that the print quality and yields using the Repeat-O-Type products were indistinguishable from the results obtained with Riso brand supplies.” Mr. Keen added that Risograph users can enjoy significant savings by using Repeat-O-Type brand supplies.
