Johnson Polymer announced a price increase on acrylic and styrene acrylic emulsions and resins, polyurethanes dispersions and urethane-acrylic hybrids, and high solids acrylic polyols. Waterborne products will increase between $0.02 – $0.04 per pound and polyols and solid resins between $0.04 – $0.06 per pound. The price increase is driven by higher raw material, energy and labor costs, dramatic health care cost increases and environmental compliance, according to the company.
