Cognis Raises Prices Of Versamid Resins

Cognis Corporation’s graphic arts business announced that it is increasing off list prices of its Versamid ink resins, effective Nov. 1, or as contracts allow.
    
The increase will impact all of the Versamid 700 and 900 series resins, as well as the products sold under the GAX trade name. The Versamid resins will increase by $0.04/lb with the exception of Versamid 972 and 973, which will increase $0.06/lb.
    
The increase is necessary because of recent raw materials price increases and margin levels that will neither sustain current business, warrant reinvestment nor support new product development, according to the company.
