Dexter Chemical, LLC has appointed Juan Tobias Leon group leader for industrial products. Mr. Leon will lead the development of new formulations for the phosphate ester surfactants in architectural paint and industrial coatings. Prior to joining Dexter, Mr. Leon was a senior chemist for Behr Process Corporation, the technical director for Wilshire Paint Company and a research chemist with Dunn-Edwards and Mercury Paint. He holds a master’s degree in organic chemistry from the University of Detroit and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.
