Flint Group announced the appointment of Ron Muawad as CFO, Flint Group. He will suc-ceed James McCarthy, who recently left the organization.
Muawad has more than 23 years experience working with Flint Group, having joined the company from Delloitte as assistant controller in financial reporting in 1996. In 1998, he took the position of financial controller Europe living with his family in the UK, but re-turned to the US in 2004 following the acquisition of Flint Ink, BASF and ANI Inks by CVC and his appointment as group controller of the newly formed Flint Group organization.
As part of this new expanded role, Muawad will also join Flint Group’s executive manage-ment team.
“The skills and experience Ron has gained throughout his career with Flint make him ide-ally placed to lead the function and focus on financial operations across the group, includ-ing planning, forecasting, accounting, tax, treasury and financial funding,” Flint Group CEO Antoine Fady said. “As CFO, Ron will also play a vital role in Flint Group’s strategic ini-tiatives, helping to drive performance and deliver on our financial objectives.”
In further organizational news, Flint Group confirmed that Steve Dryden will expand on his current role, moving to take the newly created position of COO – Flint Group Packag-ing, in addition to his CEO duties for the Commercial, Packaging and Sheetfed (CPS) side of the business.
